Why I'm a Teacher - Part 5

I received this today from one of my favorite writers in all the world, a special delivery during lunch time, folded in eighths:

This is a story about a man named Darron and his life
A man full of words and full of life
A man who can never be forgotten, but sometimes never forgiven
A spectacular man that inspires you and gives life to your dreams
A person who never forgets your face whether you were his favorite or not,
Whether he helped you succeed or fail
He is a man full of love for a girl named Pam and guys like him you can hardly find
He is but a mystery
He is a teacher that never gives up and always finds a way to speak up
And although "there is more than meets the eye"
Darron Evans is what makes Darron Evans
His love for Pam is what completes him and so do his students
We are his "legacy" and this is his "legend"

Interesting:

Someone gets 2 out of 50 states right on a quiz...and you include his name.

Someone writes you a beautiful note...and you don't.

It has long been this blog's policy to refer to students by their initials only (usually just their first initial).

Including his name was... an oversight.

Yes, an oversight.

It had nothing to do with the pleasure I get out of ridiculing students who do something particularly stupid. Yes, nothing at all...
